St Alexei's Russian Memorial Church was built in 1913 in the same year than the Völkerschlachtdenkmal  for the 100 year anniversary of the Battle of Nations, in which Russian troops and their European allies had fought against Napoleon's army.October 1913, the church was dedicated to the memory of the 22,000 Russian soldiers who had fallen in the battle.

Beucha

a)Beucha is a town 15 km from Leipzig - the place of the volcanoes - today I was there. Kirchberg has the only catholic village church, St. Ludwigskapelle, in the Leipzig region. This due to the many Bavarian´s who carved the granite hill that forms the floaded Beucha grove.

b)There is still a running stone quarry in Beucha, which is working with machines since 1884, nowadays the biggest stones removed of the valley are dated with spray paint.

c)This object is standing next to the floaded quarry, I believe it was used as a tool to transport rocks from the bottom of the valley.
